Like most towns there are plenty of closed shops on the High Street. Some stores have moved to out of town retail parks due to the high ground rents charged by the local council.
There are two theatres, the Baths Hall at the top of the High Street and the Plowright Theatre on Laneham street a short walk away from the High street.

This station is as calm as you would like.
I have been here multiple times and I always find this place to be quite and peaceful.
There is a parking area and toilets at this station.

Like all High Streets there are a lot of empty shops some have been repurposed i.e. the old Bhs store is now the market. The shops are all within easy access from the bus station but the train station is quite a distance from the town centre. The majority of the big retail outlets are on the outskirts of the town and really only accessible by car.

The worst station for people who have disabilities. they have no wheelchairs to assist people who have limited walking abilities. Yet the only disabled access they have is about a 20min walk around the tracks to change platform. The assistance team is very rude and they throw your belongings not to you but near some office doors and then disapear. There is no body there to help you whilst you are on the platform. Shocking for such a small station.

I have come with my gf to train station today to get tickets for our holiday because we will be busy another day and would be better to have tickets ready ... when we come to station at 2pm Easter we have been waiting for someone to show up and sell tickets for us, after couple mins some guy come and start telling us that we should buy tickets week before or day before we travel, because its same price for a tickets now or 1 day before travel. I have asked him why he cant sell me tickets now, he told me "- I will not sell you this tickets today because it is no point to buy them 1month before travel"..... and its not first time he was speaking like that with us because before he was acting same rude way ..

So my question here is How people should be treated and served in train station, specially on easter day....? He is doing his job but he didnt sell us tickets, and he tells us when to buy even that we said that we want to buy now. .? This is outrageous you should check your staff.

Needs more seating also more comfortable seating. The current outside seating needs roof coverage so more people can sit while its raining.
The waiting rooms need better heating, also the ticket machine is quite slow.

Nightmare when travelling from platform 2 with a suitcase as there is only a bridge access with lots of stairs.

Parking a bit of a nightmare as not a lot of spaces.

Decent shop for coffee, paper and snacks and the staff are helpful
